What are Pre-Orders?
Pre-Orders are customized, limited edition print runs. You order your shirt BEFORE we print, so you can choose from many options.
We only accept Pre-Orders for a limited time period, ending with an ORDER BY date. After this date, no more orders will be taken. We may not print a design again. Sometimes we print extra shirts during these print editions which would be available under the Apparel section of the store, and are ready to ship.
All Pre-Orders will be printed at the same time. Shirt orders are consolidated and purchased at one time from our supplier. If the item you order is out of stock, we will contact you with different shirt options, or you can choose to cancel your order and refund your payment.
All Pre-Orders will be shipped at the same time. USPS First Class Mail shipping is included in price (continental US). This item will ship on the SHIP DATE listed, separately from other items in your order. If you are outside the Continental US, and would like to place a Pre-Order, please email us with your address, and item preferences, and we can set up a special order listing for you.
We do not offer exchanges or returns on these custom items. If you have any questions about shirt sizes, or anything else, we ask you email us at firstname.lastname@example.org before ordering. We can easily walk you through the decision making process so that you are happy with your non-returnable purchase.
Shirt Sizing / Fabric Content
Actual shirt measurements are listed with each item.
It is highly recommended to check your size before ordering: each style has different size charts.
How to measure your shirt size:
- Find the best fitting T-shirt from your own wardrobe.
- Lay it flat on your bed, smoothing it out from the center.
- Measure from side to side, 1 inch down from armhole seam.
- Double this number and match that to the closest measurement listed.
Fabric content is listed with each item. The blended combinations tend to be softer than 100% Cotton.
Fabric thickness for t-shirts is listed in ounces. A 4.3oz shirt will be thinner than a 6.1oz shirt. The smaller the number, the thinner the fabric. Fleece goes between 6oz. and 12oz.
We collaborate with designers to offer fun new designs, usually quilting related – but not always. When we work with a designer, they receive 15% of all sales using their artwork. If you are a vector-based designer and have quilting related designs that you would like to see printed, drop us a line to be a Featured Designer on our site.
The quilt patterns listed are all designed by Gail Lizette Weiss. They are all available as .PDF digital files. You will need a copy of Acrobat Reader to open these files.
Quilt patterns may have been updated since your purchase.
Please upload the most current version before starting your project.
Hand Sewing Kits & Fabric Panels
The Hand Sewing Kits available are made up of pre-cut fabric pieces with the stitch lines printed on the back of the fabric. This is a different technique than EPP (English Paper Piecing). You will need: Needle, thread, scissors, thimble, and knowledge of how to sew with a running stitch. Tutorial here.
Our fabric panels are approximately 11″ x 13″ each, and feature one of our own designs. They are hand printed with discharge ink that releases the dye of the fabric, letting the image set into the fabric rather than on top of it like regular plastisol ink. After printing, we serge the edges of each piece and wash them to disperse any extra printing ink. They are ready to use.
