I had the pleasure of working with a brand new fabric line, designed by my friend Christina Cameli, for her to show at Quilt Market this year. It’s called Moongate from Maywood Studios.
It should be available early 2020. The pattern I made is called Vista and was a very easy pattern to follow and a fast make! I was able to use a little bit of most fabrics in the line – and my favorites were the ombrés! They are so pretty and they give movement to the look of whatever you use it with.
This is not the greatest photo… and it doesn’t show her amazing quilting!
I needed to test a part of the quilt pattern, so I got a little extra fabric and tested with some solid blue fabric I had on hand. There are some half-square triangles in this pattern, and they were trimmed from squares, so I had a bunch of triangle scraps after testing and making this quilt. From the extra fabric, and the scraps, I was able to get 2 baby quilt tops made!
I have them both spray basted and ready to quilt, I just need to figure out how I want to quilt them. I’d like to do denser quilting since they are much smaller than what I’m used to making.
